Synthetic Cubism

Synthetic Cubism was developed by Braque and Picasso from 1912-14. Synthetic Cubism was created through Analytic Cubism; an art style also developed by Braque and Picasso. Analytic cubism was developed in 1909-1910 and lasted up until 1912. Analytic cubism is defined as: "the early phase of cubism, chiefly characterized by a pronounced use of geometric shapes and by a tendency toward a monochromatic use of color."
